There aren't tools listed in my left column.

You're in the right place. The format of that sidebar is not ideal.

When you first log in:

Select Personal Info [Continue]
The left sidebar will populate
You may not see Tax Tools yet
Be sure the arrow next to Federal is up
Scroll down on the menu
This will review Tax Tools half way down the sidebar
