Stimulus

So I just filed yesterday after doing so I realized that I entered my second stimulus information which I recieved in January of this year. I had a child in 2020 which I did not recieve the additional stimulus money for should I have not added the second stimulus to 2020s being that I got it in January? Do I need to change my return?

You could aways amend it but I recommend going to a different company to file again. Not sure if you have noticed but 75% of the ppl asking questions in this community have been screwed by Turbo tax not updating their software

@Seantwake  Even if you received the stimulus payment in January you would have correctly included it on your tax return as received.

If you included your child on your 2020 tax return then your eligibility amount would have included that child's stimulus amount.

Your total eligibility amount would then be reduced by any stimulus amounts you actually received in rounds one and/or two.
