Stimulus Reject code IND-424

I received a reject code IND-424 on my stimulus file. Description of error:

If the filing status of the return is married filing jointly and either 'PrimaryDeathDt' or 'SpouseDeathDt' has a value, then 'SurvivingSpouseInd' must be checked.

What needs to be done:

Stimulus filings do not allow for spouse information to be included when the spouse is deceased. Return to the product and remove spouse information. If your spouse is not deceased, correct the entries on the spouse information screen.

Someone answered:

"According to the error message, you need to check the box indicating that you are a surviving spouse. You can access this in the My Info section (left-hand menu bar) in TurboTax Online. Once you check the box, please resubmit.

There is no surviving spouse box. Should I just file single ?Remember....this is for Stimulus file ONLY.

Stimulus Reject code IND-424

Yes, just file as Single if you are not required to file at all.

Below is a link for registering with the IRS as a non-filer.
