I still have not got my refund from 2019.. I mailed in my return in July 2020.. Using the where is my refund tool is not helpful because there is no information there.. I know there has been delay processing mailed in returned at IRS due to covid but it's almost 7 months since I filed and I just want to ask if there are people out there facing the same situation?
Thanks...

I filed by paper (Mom passed away in Feb 2020) and still no refund and when I call the IRS ( when I can get through), I am told they cannot help. They are backlogged. Isn't there any way that I can find out IF the return is there? I have been dancing through hoops and still no refund or resolution.......HELP
I cannot file 2020 return til I know what the heck.
Why are you holding up 2020? Anyway you can order a transcript online to see if the return was processed and a refund issued.
To obtain a full copy of your filed and processed tax return (including income forms such as W-2s and 1099s), print and complete IRS Form 4506, Request for Copy of Tax Return. Be sure to follow the instructions on page 2 of the printout. The IRS charges $50 for each copy. Please allow up to 75 days for delivery.
If you can't wait that long or don't want to pay the $50 fee, consider a free IRS transcript. A transcript contains most line items from your return and can be used if you need last year's AGI or other numbers from a previously-filed return. Here's what a transcript looks like. To order, go to the IRS Get Transcript page and choose an option: online (same-day) or by mail (5–10 days).
How do I get this information? I am my mother's executor. Do I sign up as her?
In order to get the information you would need access to her tax return. Signing up as her within Turbo Tax would not work, as it would be a new account with no refund filed.
It may be best for you to contact customer support by phone by following the instructions here.
