State error -- new

I was ready to send taxes out, but on log in I got "upgraded" forms. Now it lists errors, and on the personal info page it lists my state as "Other Country", I try to change it to California but it still comes back "other country". This has now propagated to other forms and everything is screwed up! HELP!!
