You need to report your unemployment benefits on your Tax return. If you already filed you return, you need to amend it to make the correction.

Wait until the IRS either accepts or rejects your return.

If the IRS rejects your return, you can make the changes and re-submit your return.

If the IRS accepts your return, you have to wait until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund.

How to I amend my 2020 return

To report your unemployment compensation:

• Login to your account.
• Select Federal from the left menu
• Go to Wages and Income then Income and Expenses.
• Scroll down to Unemployment
