I am able to successfully e-file my federal return but then I receive an email notice saying my AGI from last year is incorrect. I used Turbo Tax last year, so that amount was prepopulated into this year's form. The amount is correct as I verified it on the printed return I kep. I tried re-filing, and it was rejected again. I deleted the pre-populated amount and re-entered it, e-filed again, and it was rejected. Any idea what's causing this error? One of the reasons I purchased the software was the ability to e-file and receive a return quicker. If I have to print and send it a paper copy of my return, then I feel I wasted my money in purchasing Turbo Tax. Please help.

Your AGI is apparently not in the IRS database for some reason. This will happen if you filed your tax return late in the year. If your correct AGI doesn't work, try using the number 0. That has often worked for others. If it is still rejected, try it one more time. If that doesn't work, you will have to print and mail your return.
Even though you may not be able to efile because of an IRS problem, you still used the TurboTax program to complete your tax return. You would have had the same problem with any other tax preparer.
Thank you! Good info. I ended up mailing them in …..
