Searching: "Hi! I filed my return on 1/21 and was accepted on 1/22. We don’t get the extra credits but are still on the first bar with no movement. Last year our return was already in our account on 1/29. Should I be concerned?"

did you claim Earned Income Credit (EIC) or the Child Tax Credit? If so, please read the link below

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/refund-timing

IRS states no refunds before Mid- February

We did not. :(
We have regular ctc but no actc or eic.

Still no update. :(

because you have CTC, the refund will not occur any earlier than mid-Feb per the IRS; again, read the link in my previous post

Refund

Thank you for your reply but that is incorrect. Per the link you posted ONLY additional child tax credit is being held; not child tax credit. The two are two different credits. 🙂

sorry; I stand corrected.....EIC and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) will cause refunds to be issued no earlier than mid-Feb
