Refund from IRS is wrong amount

How do I contact the IRS and get a person to ask why about $1000 was removed?

I never got a stimulus check last year so it can't be that.

It is very hard to get ahold of the IRS this time of year. The IRS will send you a letter explaining the change in your refund amount. The letter can take 4 to 8 weeks to receive.
