Refund and Stimulus

I filed in February and the IRS website says it is still processing. They have no info on when I will get my stimulus check. I am on disability and only had a small amount of income so my refund is very small. I am in limbo as to when I will get my money that is desperately needed. I can't get any answers on any website. Can someone please tell me what is going on?

Refund and Stimulus

It depends.

At this point the IRS is processing payments.

The best way to check your status of your payment is online using the IRS website.  They have been updating the pages daily with new information.

You can only check the status of your stimulus check if you filed a return at this point.  Here are a few resources depending upon your situation.

Stimulus check payment information from IRS

Non-filers payment information

IRS portal for filers

If you file a return for 2018 or 2019, the best place to try to track the status of your stimulus check would be at the following link.

Check status of economic payment

Refund and Stimulus

This does not answer my question at all. My refund is still being processed from February and the Get My Payment has no info available. I am on Disability and everyone I know on Social Security and Disability have gotten their check or at least have a date. I can't get any info on my status at all.

Refund and Stimulus

The IRS has not given TurboTax any official guidance as to when stimulus payments for every taxpayer will be released. As long as you provided your direct deposit information/card information or mailing address information, you will receive the stimulus when it is released to you (as long as you otherwise qualify for it).

According to the IRS FAQs, the Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:

  • You are required to file a tax return, but:
    • We haven't finished processing your 2019 return
    • The application doesn't yet have your data; we’re working on adding more data to allow more people to use it.
  • You don't usually file a return, and:
    • You used Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here but we haven’t processed your entry yet
    • You receive an SSA or RRB Form 1099 or SSI or VA benefits; information has not been loaded onto our systems yet for people who don’t normally file a tax return.
  • You’re not eligible for a payment (see Eligibility).

They update Get My Payment data once per day, overnight, so there is no need to check more often. If you are eligible for a payment and have provided your information either through a recent tax return or the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here application, please check back for updates.
