Payment from original return

I filed a return a few weeks ago and setup an online payment for the amount due, which hasn't gone through yet. I got an updated 1099. I filed an amended return and it said I am due $2 back (the new amount is $2 less than the original filing). When I finished everything I got a 1040V for the amount due from the original filing. Does that mean my online payment that I setup on the original return is not going to process? I can't find anywhere where it shows me that the payment is scheduled or not scheduled. I expect the original online payment to happen followed by the $2 refund, but I can't find any verification and don't know if the scheduled payment got canceled when I amended and I need to mail it now instead since it presented the 1040V to me.

Payment from original return

Your original payment was submitted with your original return.  It will process on the date that you set it for.  The amended return gave you the 1040-V in case you still needed to make that payment.  If you scheduled the payment then you don't need to make it again.
