PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Correct. Turbo Tax over-promised on a service they knew they couldn't possibly deliver on a consistent basis .

This behavior constitutes " constructive knowledge" of intentional fraud on the part of TurboTax.

Sure ,they will refund the 5 days early fee to some customers , but not all the customers they couldn't deliver to.

The end result will be millions of dollars in record profits for a service Turbo Tax knew was faulty

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Transcripts must be accessed via your personal IRS online account.

If you don't have a personal IRS account, I strongly recommend you create one .

For several reasons. When the federal government chooses to give stimulus money for whatever reason, they use the IRS as the avenue to conduct these deposits.

Job history verification.

Many potential employers are no longer accepting resumes at face value and - or job applications ...... You must verify your Job history.

Your tax transcript records are an excellent way to do this.

It's also a great way to prove an employer or potential employer wrong if said employer makes allegations that you were dishonest about your employment time line and job history.

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

It was all B.S. had me thinking I was gonna get it 5 days early then when I got my ddd the little box that had been saying I paid for 5 days early switched to. Sorry we couldn't get j the 5 day early so u weren't charged, like WTF? Why even say it the whole time then change at the last minute ??

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

What you’re not understanding is the date that is on your transcript it literally states the refund date it states code 846 your refund was issued on whatever date is there so if that is your refund date once WMR updates that is going to be the date on WMRWMR just updates a day later from your tax transcript whatever is on your tax transcript is written in gold so the person is asking regardless of whether it’s on his transcript on WMR it’s going to be the same day. Will they be able to get their refund five days earlier. But evidently not because for to make it five days earlier means you would have to issue a refund on the same day that the system has updated your refund date and WMR is always 24 hours later than your transcriptso it’s a scam because that means TurboTax or anybody else will not even know that your refund date is available until WMR updates which is always 24 hours after your transcript so it’s not really five days

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Stop including people who have passed any different from anybody who filed regular you file all the same way Panthers are no different. The only thing you just wait till after 15 February to get your refund other than that everyone files the same exact way all the rules are the same stop making as if being a panthers makes it any different because it does not all the rules are the same for filing and everything you just have to wait that extra week and a half later than the average person that’s not claiming your child. Basically these are people who claim other people

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Yes you should get it today. But what people fail to realize is your transcripts update 24 hours before WMR so WMR won’t update and reflect which transcripts already say until 24 hours later which is now a whole day later so like the people were saying TurboTax can’t honor that because they’re not even abiding by the rules of the IRS. They don’t even have a clue on how it works because if they did then they wouldn’t be waiting for WMR to update in order to issue these refunds to people earlybecause then they also would know that sometimes WMR never updates and they would know that WMR sometimes updates a week later and you’ve already gotten your refund

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Exactly correct they do not say if the WMR updates they stated if you have a deposit date you will receive. It will be 5 days early from your deposited date IRS gives you. Turbo Tax offered this with incentive to draw more filers and makes a ton from each one with the fees they charge. In 2022 they had to settle around 142 million for misconception when saying free service but most were charged a fee in the end. It goes to show this was and is another attempt to confuse filers with a service they cannot fulfill. Company should know by now if they offer a service to get people to sign up and pay they better word it correctly by now. Even if your charged or not charged because they failed to deposit the wording is what you were being misled by. IRS has to give them the deposit if they basically are loaning/fronting you the money from said bank. The system has to verify dates and IRS is giving them the right information if they are receiving refunds. Don't downtalk or defend a paying customer that is going off the info TT gave them while signing up. It's the company who already knew it wouldn't be able to fulfill because they are the pros, and know all stipulations.

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Still nothing ?

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Yes that is so true! If they can’t 100% control the process then don’t offer it just to get customers hopes up when they could have just did it the normal way and would have already had their refund by now!!! It makes no sense..

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

In reality it is just another case of those in position getting over on the lower people. Everybody scamming everybody and yet we wonder why America is on the decline. I hope you regular people get your return soon.

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Good morning, will I get my refund today? Issue date 2/26/2025. I paid for 5 days early. Should I receive my refund today?

PATH Act & “5 Days Early”

Yes, I would think so. There is no timeframe during the day, it could even be evening. You should get an email from TurboTax when your refund is on its way. Some didn't get an email until late in the day, but still got their deposit.

5 Days Early Option

If you don't get your deposit, there is a few reasons why that might happen.

  • Your refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
  • Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing your refund 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited your refund.
  • The IRS didn't give Intuit 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the 5 days early expectations.

If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.

If you don’t receive an update email or an automatic refund (if applicable) within a few days, you can contact TurboTax Customer Support by clicking the link below.
