The exact same thing is happening to me. Also accepted 2/12. Tried calling IRS this a.m. Said to call back tomorrow that they are to busy. Called at 7 a.m. Read in these comments yesterday, cant find it now, that Turbo Tax did not fill in or automatically fill in box 30 on out tax forms so that is the hold up. I really dont know but getting quite upset with this fiasco. Especially at this time when we need our refund money. 😒

I have the same issue. Absolutely no update or change on WMR. I have seen the same message for over a week now. If anything changes I will update here. Good luck everyone.

Yup. Two weeks now without my status bar. I managed to get ahold of someone early last week and they said that the earliest "acceptance" date possible is the 12th of february, so friday the 5th was the 21 day mark and to call back this week. This week I can't even get the phone to ring, it just kicks me back out because of "high call volumes". Good luck!

same issue. Was supposed to get my refund on 3/4 on 3/3 the IRS changed the orange tracking bar to the message "it's processing and a date will be provided" says the same thing on my daughters, but she received her refund. On the IRS site , it does say they're having technical difficulties and it may show that message, even though the refund has been issued. It says to call if it's been more than 21 days since efiling, but I cannot get through on the # provided. I'm hoping to receive a letter explaining what is going on soon. Most people are already having financial issues due to Covid and now this? Good job IRS :(

I am having the same issue. Turbo tax said I’d get a return by 3/3 but the IRS status says it’s still in process. I have been trying to call the IRS and still no luck! If anyone has any luck getting through the phone lines please let us know what they say. This is frustrating!

I'm having the same issue. Federal was accepted Feb 12th.  Has been showing still processing with
the IRS. I know they were saying it would be delayed with earned credits, but i know people
that filed the same way and have gotten their return already. I double checked everything and it
is all right. Whats going on?

Update: so I just got a letter in the mail stating that they need to verify my 2020 wages. I’ve sent pdf to the irs agent.
they were basically saying that my employer may not have put my wages and withholdings in. So I just sent via email and pdf the information. Hopefully that solves the issue.

@Jayjacks87

This represents a real possibility.

When the employer sends you a W-2, the employer is also required to send a copy of the W-2 to the IRS (online if possible).

However, if the employer doesn't do it or if it goes astray, then the IRS has your return with its W-2, and, well, nothing to check it against.

Since inventing W-2s is a common way to scam artists to try to pad refunds (by increasing the federal withholding in box 2 artificially high), it is natural for the IRS to want to see a copy of the W-2 that the employer sent you.

Needless to say, the employer will be hearing from the IRS.

Hopefully, this will be resolved for you soon.

It was for my state refund. The agent said 10-15 days for it to be in my account.
now as far as the Federal refund. I still can’t get in contact with the irs. No wmr bar no tax topic and I filed and was accepted on feb 12th.
now no information whatsoever

Different factors can impact the processing time of your refund. Please visit the IRS Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions help article below for more information. Although most returns are processed within 21 days of being accepted by the IRS, some can take a little bit longer.
