Maryland Refund Status - still not processed

OK. I still have not seen anything. I sent another email query to the MD tax email. The previous email I sent was answered with a "Please send your email again on Friday". They are most likely closed until Monday.

Has anyone seen any movement or processing?

Mine is still saying "your returned has not processed yet", I have never had to wait this long for MD refund.

Something must be going on with MD.

Mine updated this week went to processing Tuesday refund approved Wednesday had refund yesterday 

filed on 1/23 used HR Bloxk though

If it were TT, it seems like the federal refund would have been impacted too, but I got mine on 2.1 with no issues.

Fair - maybe MD is having issues with TT - just odd that we're all having the same issue this year - I'm not even getting a huge refund, just annoying at this point and no real answers are being given when we inquire with MD Tax Services

Definitely not TT: I went with a different company this year and I am still getting the “not processing”. I reached someone again today at MD tax services and they once again said give it more time.

All you can do now is, wait. At least you know that MD has your filing. It does not matter who sent your form to the Comptroller's Office of Maryland . That is the sole destination for MD state tax returns. No one has discovered a way to make a tax agency speed up sending out refunds. No one ever will because they are an overwhelmed, over worked, under funded and under staffed government bureaucracy. Eventually you will get the pay off of your no interest loan to the government.

Have you thought of paying just enough by estimates or withholding to avoid a penalty and let the government wait for your check?

Ours has finally moved to "being processed" - that took a lot longer then previous years but baby steps I guess lol

@jesslh15 Once you see that your return has been accepted by Maryland Department of Revenue, TurboTax does not have any more access to that tax return or information relating to that return.  So all inquiries will be addressed by Maryland.  Thank you for using TurboTax.

Mine is now being processed as well. I was getting a little worried thinking maybe I messed up somewhere along the line because I did my daughters on the 2nd of this month, and it was processed and completed yesterday. Apparently if you filed before Jan. 25th, they were sent to the back of the queue.

Thankfully, mine has finally moved to "processing" too. Now, we wait for the deposit phase 🙂
