It's been 2 months since I've filed my taxes and still no federal refund. Where can I go to talk to someone about getting this expedited?

I received my state refund three weeks ago, and normally state refunds take longer than federal.

It depends. You may need to wait a bit longer as the IRS has had to implement many changes in the last few weeks.  Trying using the following link to track your refund.

IRS processing time and refund status

The online link is your best option to track your refund.  I have attached a link with more answers from the IRS as to why your refund may be taking longer to process.

First, thank you for the links. The first sentences said to first check your "e-file status." Our e-file status was accepted, for both federal and state, the day after i completed my taxes. The other link references another link if the e-file status has been accepted. But when i go to "track my refund" it has no date and still shows "in process".

Thank you for the information though.

If it shows ''in process'', that means that only the IRS knows what the delay is, unfortunately.   They are reviewing something on your return, but that something could be anything.  You can either try contacting them or wait for correspondence that will arrive by US mail.

Here is a link to a thread that details how to go through the automated phone prompts to reach a live representative.  The steps may save you some frustration.   You can also search for a local IRS office in your area.  It may be easier to contact a local representative than using the main phone number.    You can use the ''make an appointment'' option even if you have no intention of going to the office, but that may get you a live person on the phone that can provide you some info.   They have access to the same information.
