Is anyone else experiencing longer than 48 hours for IRS and State to "accept" or "reject" a 2020 business return?

I filed my taxes through the TurboTax for Business Windows app on February 12, 2021 at 3:41 pm.  It's now been over 60 hours. So I'm wondering, Is anyone else experiencing longer than 48 hours for IRS and State to "accept" or "reject" a 2020 business return?

The IRS just began accepting/rejecting 2020 returns on Friday, February 12, 2021.  You need to watch your emails for the acceptance/rejection notice that may take until mid-February or later to arrive.   And watch your spam folder too.   There are a LOT of e-files on servers so it may be several days after the IRS opens before you get an email.  There are so many returns waiting —kind of like trying to put the ocean through a garden hose.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

A state return cannot be accepted until the federal return has been accepted.

Thank you for your response. I've done this for several years now so I know the sequence of 3 emails, etc. But I still have my emails from last year. My federal return was accepted within 30 minutes of my submission on February 5, 2020. My state accepts was about 1 hour after that. Total time was 90 minutes.

I suppose the new things this year are the late opening up of IRS and the pandemic.  I just wondered if someone else would confirm our speculation.

My personal experience this year was it took the IRS 24 hours to accept my return.  E-filed on Friday 2/12, accepted on Saturday 2/13.  My CA LLC Filing was supposedly accepted same day about 3 hours after I e-filed, I say supposedly as TurboTax website says it doesn't support e-filling of form 568 (which is the CA LLC filing form).  My CA Personal has not been accepted yet, still pending.  I am not sure if this is due to it being a weekend or if they are just that delayed.
