I E-filed electronically and requested to pay taxes owed through a short-tern repayment with monthly payments debited from my checking account. Do I still need to mail form 1040 along with form 1040-V with a check until the IRS approves my repayment plan request?

Don't include 1040-V if you are not paying in full.
make sure SSN and "For year 2020" is on your check.
Thanks fanfare. I already made a partial payment through IRS Direct and plan to take care of the remaining balance within the next 30 days.
