IRS payment

I filed our taxes on the 12 of March, my e-file was accepted that day. I authorized the automatic transfer of funds to the IRS for our payment for the 14th of March and so far no funds have been taken from our account for our taxes owed.

Shouldn't they have taken the money by now?

IRS payment

The IRS is often a few days late taking a direct debit payment. Give them a few more days.

It would be necessary to contact the IRS regarding your automated payment. Please see How do I contact the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)? for more information, including the IRS phone number and hours of operation. You may want to try calling right when they open since they have been very busy throughout the day.
