If I filed my tax return before receiving a certificate of rent paid, can I amend the return to include my certificate, and if so, how?

If you need to amend your return, you will need to wait until the return is accepted or rejected. The IRS will not begin accepting returns until Feb 12, 2021. 

If rejected, you can edit the return and resubmit.
