Why isn't the news media reporting on how long it is taking Americans to receive their tax refunds. This is a disgrace. Most of us will probably receive our 3rd stimulus check before we receive our tax refund. So many families including mines are waiting. They really just do not care.

I agree. This is the 2nd year in a row I have had problems. Stimulus checks shouldn’t be an issue. They have record of who got one and who did’nt.

Turbo Tax went from $40 to $70

Are you referring to Online TurboTax?

I don't think you are taking into account "when" in filing season one purchases a product each year.

Early filing season always has discounts. You didn't say what product you are referring to. I'm not sure where your $70 figure comes from without more info. "Basic return" is not enough info to know what all you used. So for the illustration below, I'll assume you are talking about Online Deluxe, although Deluxe is currently $60, not $70. Prior to March 1 Deluxe was discounted to $40.

Or a fee of $70 could be explained by PLUS at 29.99 and then using the option to pay out of the Federal refund, which has a $40 service fee, which would make that product 69.99.

Prior to March 1, Online Deluxe was $40 for a Federal return and $40 for a state return due to the early-season discounts. I believe that was the same as last year. Prices always increase in March. On March 1, the discount disappeared, and the price is now $60 for Federal and $50 for state, also comparable to last year after last year's early-season discounts disappeared.

Perhaps you prepared your 2019 return during that year's early-season discounts, and perhaps this year you paid for your 2020 return after March 1 after the 2020 early-season discounts went away.

I'm not sure where your $70 figure comes from without more info. Maybe it's Deluxe at $60 plus some sales taxes. Or PLUS with a "pay out of refund" option as I mentioned above.

Mine were accepted February 24 and a week later.. No bars. It's now March 13!! So I am very worried and very frustrated. I used turbotax..a friend of mine went to one of the tax places and paid to have hers done and she received her refund within 3 days! Ugh!

So it's currently Saturday and still no update!! I'm beyond pissed! Was told by Friday id have a date and nothing has updated don't frikn understand wtf is going on anymore and can't call till Monday!!!!!

I filled like the 8th of feb. They accepted them the 15. And its been say processing the whole time. Then finally yesterday i got a letter saying i had to idverify which i dis last year as well and got me refund in june 2020. So i can only imange.

Same situation.

I filed and got accepted 2/21/21 yet i checked 3/11/21 and no status bar only that its being processed and they will let me know when a refund date will be a available .

I also got a letter saying stimulus check was sent 2/15/21 even though i dont qualify and never received a check at all.

I dont know what ia going on with our country.

Same here same dates and everything. Wmr bars went away after stating was accepted and now says it's still being processed and will be let known of a refund date when available.

Never heard that it's being manually entered....If I had to guess you'll probably get mailed a paper check in this case....but I could be wrong. I received stimulus money Friday at 1230 pm and my taxes still read....Your taxes are still being processed and a return date will be given when available.....Lmao. irs a bunch or retards. I finally got through to the IRS on Friday after being on hold for a hr and 43 minutes and dude said he couldn't find anything wrong with return...so got transferred to another department and kept being put on hold as her computer kept acting up. Was rebooted and when she answered again she couldn't find my info with the social and then couldn't hear her for almost another 20 minutes waiting with none of that lovely elevator music just silence....So I will be calling again on Monday. Gl yall as I have no fn clue as to what's going on after 8 yrs with turbotax this is 1st year I've never not received under 2 wks. Been a month today with still no update on wmr. 🖕
