Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section and change how you want to receive your refund.
You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted.
If you e-filed:
Banking information for direct deposit is wrong
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return. Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.
Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information
I E-Filed on Feb. 12th it was accepted Feb. 13th & attempted deposit on Feb 23rd but I had realized when nothing was in my account that I had entered wrong account number. Its been over 2 weeks since and bank said no worried the wrong account i put doesn't exist anyways. Now my question is. Since money will go back to IRS and they will now be issuing a paper check, How long is usual wait to receive paper check??
It will take time and I would advise four weeks or possibly longer. As long as the address on your tax return is correct there is no need for concern. The IRS routinely gets direct deposits returned in your situation. They will convert it to a paper check and mail it to you. There is a time delay so be prepared to wait for a few weeks, especially with all of the changes they are involved in this year.
