I plan on sending an amended return. I filed 1040 but I had to file a 1040-NR as an international student.

I plan on sending an amended 1040-NR with sprintax, but turbotax says I have to wait until the 25th. Since I received covid relief that I am not entitled to, in the meantime do I have to tell the IRS that I plan on amending or should I just wait until the date (25th) and do everything at that tiem?

Thank you, any help would be greatly appriciated.

You can just wait until the 25th and take care of everything then. You don't need to contact the IRS unless they contact you first.
