If you are even slightly in doubt as to which is which---do not enter banking information for your direct deposit until you have contacted your bank and asked them. If you enter incorrect banking information your refund will be delayed. It could go to the wrong bank, wrong account and be sent back to the IRS. Then the IRS has to issue a paper check and mail it out to you. Or if ---heaven forbid--you are using refund processing and enter wrong banking information you could be caught in a nightmare of the refund going back to the third party bank and spend half the year trying to track it.
