I am amending 2018 return. On page 2 of 1040X under part 1 dependents names did not carry over only ss# and relationship How do I put them there or is it necessary?

At the top of page 2, you'll see instructions that this section need only be completed if you're making changes in your dependents' info.  See screenshot.

So if you're making no changes, you should be good to go.  Keep in mind that an amended return must be printed and mailed.  It cannot be e-filed.
