I filed my taxes January 31, 2020 and they got accepted that day and I was checking on the where’s my refund app and website every day since then to see if I’ve received any update. (It was stuck on the first bar where it said my return was received) . I just tried to checked it a few minutes ago and now it is saying my information is wrong and it keeps giving me a error message saying that I must wait 24 hours after I e-filed to check my refund status .... ITS BEEN 16 DAYS SINCE I E-FILED. Is this happening to anyone else ? And if it has can you please give me a update. I’m panicking so bad . Thanks !

Within the last 20 mins it changed from the error messaging saying to check back later as WMR was unavailable to the message you've gotten. I filed on jan 23rd and got accepted the 27th. I also have credits.
Well, you said you saw the first bar that it was received, so you know they did have it. That tool can be squirrely sometimes as your return moves around during processing.
Be sure you are entering correct info--SSN, filing status, and Federal refund amount. Be sure you are using only the Federal refund amount and not a total refund amount that includes a state refund. The amount to use is on your Federal Form 1040, Line 21a.
At the time I'm making this posting, that IRS tool is probably down right now. So perhaps they were doing something getting ready for maintenance. The IRS says "our system is not available every Monday from 12:00 am (Midnight) to 3:00 am Eastern Time. "
Do you think it’s because I do have child tax credit ?
So as long as I’ve seen that bar I should be good? I tried it again and it’s just giving the message again about me checking back after receiving a confirmation about my return being accepted . I just think it’s weird how it jumped from accepted to no information can be found as if I just filed or something . I guess the good thing is is that it’s giving me tax code 152 but I hope it doesn’t delay it
If you've seen bars at times inside that WMR tool, and if you've been given Tax Topic 152, you know they are working on your return. There's no trick to tweak it. Just be sure you are entering correct info each time as I described above. Since you know the tool found you originally, if it now tells you "not found" at times, and you know you are entering correct info, just try another time. That tool can be squirrely at times.
Did you read Tax Topic 152? It's a general article about possible reasons for delays and other general refund information.

If you had EIC or ACTC, that Tax Topic 152 says they expect folks to receive refunds the first week of March if there are no other issues with the return.
