Help taxes are messed up

We filed my boyfriends taxes and got a letter to verify his identity so we did and he got two checks sent to him...well federal side got a letter from IRS about his health insurance so we have to send in those forms, I went through on turbo tax and both amounts have changed and ammended...do we still paperwork to irs help please

I tried to stop the amend so we will send forms in and hope for the best
