Just FYI ...  I was recognized by the IRS  GET MY PAYMENT  portal today after days of  “Payment Status Not Available”  and given the chance to enter DD info .... so everyone just hang on as the IRS continues to update the data base daily ...

The portal is still working. I was able to look at mine this morning it saying the same thing

I am as frustrated as you as I was expecting a deposit today as well.  Here is the documentation from the IRS to Congress on what their expectation was.  ( I wasn't making this stuff up!)

it's the IRS report to CONGRESS of their commitments.  On the top of page 2 is states: 

Individuals can provide their direct deposit information by using one of the two IRS portals: (1) Get My Payment (for tax filers who did not provide direct deposit information on their 2018 or 2019 return) and (2) Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info (for individuals who are not required to file tax returns). Individuals who enter their direct deposit information into the portals by Thursday of a week reportedly will be paid the following week. Also, taxpayers expecting a tax refund for 2019 can provide their direct deposit information to the IRS by filing a 2019 federal income tax return if they have not already done so in lieu of using the Get My Payment portal.

Same here. I had to out in a dd on the 15th and then days later they said i would get a check mailed to me. It came today.. I think they just gone mail everybodys out

@NCperson, I have read all of that a long time ago and it does not give an exact date.  So for you and anyone else to repeatedly state that if we put in our DD information by Thursday we will get it the following week is not accurate and to stand by it without showing proof until now is equally wrong.  Just stop posting the links because it is very frustrating.  According to their site they are sending out the paper checks in waves....it could take some people up to June to get their checks.  The first wave went out already and they are not doing it in any particular order, so unless you have a firm date from the IRS...we just have to wait.

FYI ... most of the tax code doesn't have ABSOLUTES in them ... so in that  INFO the KEY word is REPORTEDLY  which leaves room for error.

My daughter received her check today but she was one of those who got the message saying she would get a check.  Unfortunately, I am still one of those who is still getting the message that it will be deposited to my bank account with no date.  So it is just a waiting game now.

Finally updated from "You are eligible for this payment......we will provide you with a DD date" to your DD is scheduled to be deposited on April 30.  I don't know if it had anything to do with the critical update or if it was anything else like AGI but I finally got a date.
