Filed. Now what? Why does it say pending?

I filed my taxes last night and usually it says accepted within a few hours but now it's been almost 24 hours and it still says pending. How long does it take until it says accepted or denied so I know what to do next? I just want to make sure I filed correctly

The IRS just started accepting returns on January 27th of this tax season. E-filed returns generally sit in Pending status for 24–48 hours before coming back as either Accepted or Rejected. Sometimes state returns stay in Pending for several days or even longer.
