Fake checks from Intuit!

I tried to get mine cashed at Walmart and they said no. I went to check cashing place and they said no. I deposited it into Bank of America and they rejected. Only because what I upload didn’t show account number clearly. It was folded and wrinkled. I submitted second time to Bank of America and it was on hold for exactly one week and it cleared!

Hello, did you eventually get it cashed? Or did you get one from the IRS? I just received one and no place will cash mine either. I’m at a loss and need help to figure it out. Thank you

I just received one through the Cross River bank as well and no place will cash mine either. Did you eventually get it cashed? Did the IRS sent you a new check?

It seems some checks are not being cashed by certain financial institutions because they exceed the limits in place by that particular company.  In some situations, these checks are being referred to as fraudulent; however, they are not.  Make sure the name on your check matches the name on your bank account. Try to go to your local bank to open an account so you can deposit the check.  Some banks will allow you to open an account but will retain a small portion of the deposit until the check clears.  Another option is to find a bank that can cash large checks without any restrictions.

If the bank has concerns with the validity of the check, they can contact Intuit directly at 1-800-335-9612.   A dedicated team is available for verification purposes.  Also, if the check is uncashed after 90 days, the check will be returned to the IRS.  The taxpayer can then work with the IRS to receive their tax return.

Hi everyone, so I was able to get another check from the IRS. I had to get the check from TurboTax voided and that’s when the IRS mailed me another one. However, when I got the one from the IRS, I took it to Walmart and they couldn’t cash it so I took it to my local check cashing place.

Mine came from intuit not IRS. I tried Walmart, check cashing place , boa once but the check was wrinkled so it was rejected. Re submitted and they approved the funds. Deposited one week later after a hold
