I received the following message when TT was trying to install updates:
"Failed to install update. Microsoft installer error 1622. Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and that you can write to it."
However, when I click on "online" in the top left and click "check for updates" it says my software is up to date. Is there anything I need to do? Is my software up to date? Will this issue correct itself?

you do not install online versions on your computer. only desktop versions full PC or MAC 64 bit operating system is installed on your computer
you go to your online account and start by logging in. If this is your first year using Turbotax then you need to create a Turbotax account. click on start for free.
