That sounds a lot like a mistake with the 3rd EIP payment. Did you receive the 3rd EIP payment of $1400 per person last year but say on your return that you did not get it? If you made that mistake they took it away because you cannot get it twice.
I'm in a similar boat. You can google "where's my refund" and look for the IRS website. They'll ask for your SSN, your filing status and your expected return amount. I got a partial answer but have to wait for a letter to arrive to detail what went wrong.
You might want to check your math, xmasbaby0, that doesn't make sense with the amounts given. The difference is $2880 not $1400
$1400 ( "per person ") x 2= $2800 : the amount of EIP payments for a married couple or an adult and one dependent. The $80 could have been your TT fees.
When I go to IRS.gov there is no record of my tax return, and no one has called me back from turbotax
