No, it shouldn't take longer than six weeks to show on the IRS website. 

 

Did you e-file the amended return, or mail it?

 

If you e-filed it, was it accepted?

E filed but I assume it hasent been accepted. Did receive original return. Had to add go back and add to it. That was 2/15

Yes, it can take a few weeks for the amended return to process.  Just be patient because it is the height of filing season and processing is at its peak.

Can a amended return take longer than 6 weeks to show on irs website?

ACCEPTED should come back right away, and it will appear shortly on "Where's my Amended Return?" page.

 

My relatives and I have filed but not received the ACCEPTED message; it is lost somehow. This is unusual.
