I already filed 2020 federal, NJ and NY returns. All were accepted. NY sent a letter that our income allocation between NY and NJ is incorrect. I made the changes to properly amend the two states in Turbotax and the forms now look correct. The form states $1000 due. However Turbotax assumes I received a $7000 refund from NY already. We received nothing even though the original NY form said we should get back the $7000. In reality we owe NY another $1000, in addition to our $7000 withheld.
How do I get around the fact that Turbotax wants me to Direct Deposit $8000 instead of the $1000 we actually still owe?

At least I get 100 points every time I post. Too bad I can't use these magic points to do anything.
