Amended return

I'm trying to do my amended return and when I entered everything it said I was getting money back but when I was finishing up it said I owed im confused why

Probally becasue you did not use the amended form. Was your first return been accepted and fully processed? You cannot file another return without doing an amendment. TurboTax's amended return should be ready by mid to late March.

If your return has not been accepted or fully processed then undo any information you changed after you e-filed. Wait until your return has been fully process before filing an amendment. The IRS does catch some mistakes and may correct your return. If they do they will send you a letter notifying you of the change.

If the IRS does not correct your return, then you can file an amended return. TurboTax's amended for should be ready by mid to late March. When it does, log back into your account and click on the Amend a Return option.
