I amended the 2023 tax (to adjust 1099-NEC) and e-filed in Turbo Tax. It let me e-file for the Fed Amendment, but didn't give me an option to e-file State (IL) Amendment. Read some discussion threads and some say "if Fed Amendment has been e-filed, it will 'automatically' transfer to the State returns.'
Not sure if this is accurate or not. Do I need to mail the State Amendment separately or wait for the Fed Amendment e-filing to be accepted and hope it will 'automatically' transfer the amendment to the State returns?
Hope this question makes sense...
Thank you in advance.

If you need to amend your federal return, the changes that you make to your federal return will automatically be transferred to your state return.
However, if you only need to make specific changes to your state return, select your product below and follow the instructions.
I believe some states do not support e-Filed amendment.
check the revenue website.
