Amend 2024 return

I have the desktop version and I need to amend my 2024 return.  I have tried to follow the below instructions but it never asks me for my previous return that has already been file.  If I start from my previously filed return I never see the option to Amend.  Can you please give me better instructions than the items listed below.  I pulled them from the FAQ.

1. Under Need to Amend a Filed Return?, select Amend a Filed Return.    I did this from the home page without opening my return.
2. Select Amend for the return you need to amend. If the return you need doesn’t appear as an option, select Find a Tax File to find and load the return.  It never asks for me to open my file

Because you're amending a 2024 tax file, you should have the 2024 desktop software.

One of the initial screens says Continue Your 2024 Tax Return.

In the bottom left it will have a box [Amend a Filed Return]

Select this and continue from there.
