As long as you used the employer ID on the w2 you got that's what the IRS also has so it should match. If what info you got on your w2s is what you filed with then you should be ok.
@Shottamike23 I think tonight we might see another update.
@caron1981 on that w2 it has a different Id it's one of their ids just not the one on my w2. Hasn't come back yet when it does we get approved and I recieve. I'm going to amend it. Only thing wrong is the Id, name .. other wise everything else matches
@Kesi12 really how you know that for sure we going to get a update tonite i would definitely hope so
I filed and got accepted on 01/28. Still have 1 bar and topic 152. I had to file an 8862 for my EIC.
My transcripts updated today and I noticed I had a 424 (examination request), 810 and 811 both dated for Feb 24. 810 means refund freeze and 811 means removed refund freeze. Does anyone have these codes? I thought it might be part of the PATH act hold, but I also thought it might be due to my 8862 I filed.. hoping to get some clarification.
@bkcJr777 I think your freeze was due to your extra form you had to file for the EIC
@Shottamike23 I dont know for sure but the big up dates are on saturday so we can hope
@Kesi12 hhmmm I hope so. Last year I put the wrong w2 year-end when I filed. So had to go through a whole confirmation thing mailing them documents. In the end I got everything, but I was told to file the 8862 for this year.
@bkcJr777 oh wow you had to do all that. But yes I get that if it was a w2 from another year. How long did that take to work out
@Kesi12 oh I didn't get my refund till September lmao. Most of the time was just waiting on them to process what I sent in.
@bkcJr777 that's horrible how soon did you find out you filed with an old w2? I hope you dont have those issues this time now they they know
@Kesi12 I think it was a few days later. But it was to late by then. I double checked my info this year. Hopefully this isn't much of a hold up and just normal processing for people who filed the 8862.
@bkcJr777 I think you fine since you are already seeing codes
@bkcJr777 last year did they immediately reject you? They should have if a different year form was filed.
@Kesi12 it was never rejected. It went into the system then they held it up till everything was cleared up (6 months later).
And I hope so.
