Past year's return is missing from IRS transcript

My efile was rejected earlier today due to AGI being incorrect so I re-entered it with the same result. Turbo tax shows my return as "accepted" and we definitely paid everything but the IRS has no record.  Now I see that this has been happening on this site for a few years and I'm wondering what the result has been?

Did Turbotax reimburse anyone for their trouble?  If I can't e-file this year and they didn't actually e-file last year, that's $300+ for a job not completed.  I'm also left trying to resolve a matter that I happened upon myself and hopefully that doesn't lead to additional costs.

What is considered accepted exactly? What indicates to Turbotax that my return is actually accepted?

Thanks.

If it was rejected for AGI—-your 2022 AGI might not be in the IRS system if you filed late.   Try using zero instead.

If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
