I have a refund date 2/23. has anyone went by the refund date that turbo tax has giving you and was it correct?? I am claiming 1 child tax credit. no date by irs yet

Turbotax gives you an estimated date, calculated by the 21 days from when your Return was Accepted. It does not take into account the tax returns with EIC and/or additional child tax credit. The refunds for these Returns cannot be processed by the IRS until Feb. 15th.

Irs told me two wait 6-8 weeks from they day the received my return my 6week is on July 23rd and the next direct deposit from IRS is a 23rd so do that mean I'll be getting my money

Please understand that 6-8 weeks is just an estimate. The IRS does not guarantee dates, and does not advise Turbotax of the progress.  You may want to change your withholding so that you do not have to go through this again  next year.
