Ok soooo I thought I would share my “reviewing process” with y’all. We have been in a mess as well with the irs and it’s our first time having any kind of trouble!
We filed on January the 27th with turbo tax, return was accepted on turbo tax the 28th. We never got any kind of bars on where’s my refund and hadn’t received a letter so we contacted the irs after 3 weeks. They had sent an identity letter to the wrong address they actually sent it to our old address from which we filed from last year so obviously we didn’t receive it. So to verify my ID I had to send a copy of this years tax return, my ID, SS card to the IRS in Austin TX. They said this would be the quickest route for me to instead of coming into a local office. Ok so we done that then about 3 weeks later we FINALLY SEE THE BARS ON WHERES MY REFUND! Well that lasted approximately 1 week, they disappeared on us this past Saturday and now we see the stupid processing message again. It’s so annoying and def know how you all feel, not sure what to ecspect now. I just don’t understand why pop the bars up then after a week exactly they go away? I hate getting my hopes up then being shot back down!
