I received a CP23 notice saying I owe $705.39 but I paid all of my estimated taxes in one payment when I filed my return. What should I do?

    probably pay the bill.

you were supposed to pay in on a quarterly basis (4/15,6/15,9/15 of the tax year and 1/15 of the following tax year) 25% /27.5% of prior year tax or 22.5% of current year tax.   paying 100% when you filed was paying your taxes late for which you got penalized. we can't see the notice so if you want assistance in understanding it

if you're going to have a tax liability for 2022 the same rules apply so you've already missed the deadline for the first estimated payment which was 4/18/2022 but you can go online to IRS and make the payment now which will reduce the 2022 penalties when you file.

@bjmjelde did you pay the amount listed on line 37 of Form 1040?  did the IRS make any adjustments to your tax return?

On the return did you list the payment incorrectly as an estimate on line 26 ?   And if you did make the payment  how & when did you make it ?   Do you have proof of the cleared payment in your records ?
