I e-filed 2025 1040SR and it was accepted by IRS. I now need to amend with 1040X. TurboTax online says I did not e-file so I cannot e-file the amendment?? Do I have to now print the 1040X and mail?

You posted your question from desktop Home and Business. If you prepared your return using desktop, why are you trying to use online to amend?
Using your desktop software program which you open from your own hard drive:
Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Tax Forms>Amend a tax return
At this time, TT desktop does not support e-filing a federal 1040-X. I'm in the same boat as OP, and tried to do this (from TT desktop) and can't -- even though the IRS says this is now allowed (About Form 1040-X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, as updated April 7 2026). It's possible that this guidance is very new (Google says since April 2nd), so hopefully there will be an update to TT desktop soon to support this.
@xmasbaby0, I owe you an apology here. I read elsewhere on the internet -- Can I E-file my Amended Federal Return (Form 1040X)? -- that one of the cases in which e-filing 1040X is not permitted is the case where the refund amount on the amended return is $0. (Which means, I think, that the amended return is identical to the original from the perspective of amount of tax owed or refund needed.) Since that describes my situation, my experience doesn't speak to whether or not desktop TT currently supports e-filing 1040-X.
