That’s okay.  The only way a taxpayer can amend a tax return is if the IRS accepted the original tax return, which in your case is what happened.  However, amended returns for 2016 tax returns will not be available through TurboTax until mid-February, 2017.  In February, please follow the steps in this LINK to amend your 2016 income tax return.  Remember, the only thing you want to change is your filing status from whatever you had to Head-Of-Household.
