Situation traces to Kraft Foods-Heinz merger. Custodian Wells-Fargo issued the original 1099B with cost basis data. (Situation rather complicated because my Kraft holdings were held in a DRIP, creating both long-term and short-term purchases. (I have DRIP re-investment data in Quicken.)
After I had filed my 2015 return, WFC issued a corrected 1099 with adjusted cost basis data. Total amount isn't large, about $4500.
WFC advises consulting my tax advisor, proceeding accordingly.
All comments advice sincerely appreciated.

As Texas Roger says, only one tax year is available online at any one time. You will need to acquire a desktop version of TurboTax to amend your income tax return and the link Texas Roger provided should guide you.
But, forgetting about the 1099-B correction issue, did you actually report the transaction correctly in the first place? This was a fairly difficult cash plus stock merger that required some "special" income tax accounting. And deals like this get tougher as the number of lots involved goes up. It would be interesting to see some details being reported by the 1099-B, (personal information removed, of course), to see if the "basis correction" really pertains to the special accounting required here.

You can't do it online. The online product is for filing 2016 tax returns only. Use the information at this link to help you amend a 2015 tax return: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2921011-how-do-i-amend-a-past-year-turbotax-online-return
