Need to amend, missing 1099-B's. How-to?

For 2021, I realized I forgot to include some 1099-B's.  Serves me right for filing late at night!  I noticed per TurboTax documentation you can amend a return with the software itself once your Federal is "accepted".  Although I just e-filed, it shows as accepted in the TurboTax status as well as in my e-mail.  However when I try and Amend the return via TurboTax it just takes me to "Your finished, good job!" type screen.  I've been reading around and I believe it's supposed to start over and show a $0 amount with the return you've chosen.   I'm not seeing this. Even if I try and go back and make my additions and try and "e-file" it says you can't e-file this return it's already e-filed. Is it because I just did it all and just not giving enough time?  I suppose I'll wait till I get the refund then try again in a couple weeks.  I'll end up owing $200 or so I think.  Not the end of the world so to speak.  From what I was reading returns as of 2019 can be amended via e-file and the payment due can also be paid via TurboTax.

Any confirmation of the process would be appreciated!  Maybe it's just too earlier but can't seem to get the process working.

you only get one e-File of 1040-X so don't waste it.

make sure your amendment is correct.

It is best to wait for your first refund, if possible, so you know what the IRS did.

Good to know on the single e-file of the 1040-X!  I don't plan to make another mistake 😉 I've only done one e-file and that was the original one.  Anytime I attempted the do any further e-filing by way of the "Amend Return" option it just reported when I attempted to e-file, "You cannot e-file, you have already filed."  "Status: Accepted".  Basically shortly after submitting I realized my mistake, the return was already Accepted as expected.  I looked up how to handle it said click "Amend Return" from the software, I did that and it went immediately to the last screen saying basically "Your all done!".  I figured maybe that's the process, I edited the return, viewed a copy, noticed it wasn't a 1040-X.  Tried to e-file, and it just said what I mentioned above.

Shows this, and only says "Exit TurboTax".

I suspect there's something in the software just basically making it too early.  But otherwise no indication.
