need to amend a 2025 Tax Return

I need to amend a 2025 tax return that has been accepted and the tax refund has been paid. I use desktop turbo tax. When i select "Amend my Return" it acts as if i am filing a new return and wants me to enter all the original information like i was filing a new return. is this correct?
