Need to amend 2015 FAFSA

To update your FAFSA, with your 2015 income tax return information, you may be able to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. See https://fafsa.gov/ and the screenshot below.

There are two big changes for the 2017-18 school year and beyond:

• Report older income and tax info
  You’ll need to submit info from an earlier tax year. To apply for financial aid for the 2017-18 school year, you’d use the info on your 2015 tax return (which you filed in 2016).

• Submit your FAFSA earlier
  The filing date now begins October 1 every year.

Uhmmm, I'm sure you are aware that Fafasa and your taxes are separate. You may have gotten them mixed up so maybe you mean you need to amend your 2015 tax return. If that is the case , let me help you.
