NC d400 says I cannot answer YES to using direct deposit for refund. If you say NO TurboTax attempts to transmit the e-file. then the msg waiting for more forms.?

TurboTax sent e-mail that they had the NC state forms and to continue with my return.  I tried to use it and it says I must answer no to using direct deposit for refund.  You cannot say yes unless you are using e-file. Do they mean you must use the state e-file rather than TurboTax?  If you say no on the form Turbo Tax continues and when you get down to transmit the e-file, You get the msg it cannot be filed as Turbo Tax is waiting for additional forms. What is going on, is this a state or turbo tax problem?
