My state taxes were accepted at least that's what turbotax says but when I call my state refund line they say they don't have it . Why is that?

Some state refund lines can take a few days to a week to update...and even then, it may not show anything until they process your tax file.  IF you are sure that TTX indicates it was "Accepted" and not jsut transmitted...then the state computers did "accept" it so it's in their computers.

BUT

Accepted just means no glaring errors in the file...the state's computers must still get around to fully processing that tax file. AS one example...NC says they are not going to start processing anyone's tax files until the week of 28 Feb.
