When you amend a tax return you have to either e-file the amended return or print, sign, date and mail the amended return, Form 1040-X, to the IRS.  TurboTax does not do this for you.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Go to this IRS website for the status of an amended tax return - https://www.irs.gov/filing/wheres-my-amended-return

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.

It is confusing to try and figure out what all you did.  You say you e-filed in February, and had to verify your identity to the IRS.   You verified your identity--according to you--but then it seems you did not wait for the IRS to finish processing the original return before you went ahead and amended on 3-25.   It usually takes the IRS a couple of months to process a return after you verify your identity.   So if you thought you needed to amend, you should have waited.   The IRS might not even be finished processing your original tax return.

We cannot see your return, so we do not know what you changed when you amended on 3-25.  Did you e-file or mail a Form 1040X?    It takes the IRS about five months to process an amended return----so you still have a few months to wait for a 1040X to be processed.

You have a couple of things that are causing a delay in receiving your refund. Amending while waiting for identity verification to be processed may have caused additional confusion.   Only the IRS can tell you when your refund will be issued.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take five months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
